As the Haenyeo is unique to Jeju, this museum is dedicated to them and their story. I found it very informative, interesting and of great value to understand the traditions of the island and the long association of these incredible women. Quality displays in Korean...More
I've been very interested in the haenyeo ever since I first visited Jeju-do. This museum has some interesting exhibitions about the life and work of the haenyeo. Admission is very cheap, a bit over 1000 won for an adult. It's recommended to watch the short...More

This was a terrific little museum. Excellent, helpful staff. Fantastic introductory film that they played in English for us, and top class exhibits. We came away with a deep admiration for the women divers of Jeju, they are tough, proud and awesome achievers :)

Both the museum and the story that it tells are excellent. The women divers are a remarkable group of Jeju people and this museum is a just tribute to them. It is very well organised and set out and we learned so much!
