Good views of Mt. Tabor. A backpacking trail heads out to the Galilee from here. Seems quite a way away from Nazareth and a long way to go for the conclusion to the story of the Rejection of Christ.

The mountain itself is OK, you get a reasonable view over Nazareth, but there are lots of rubbish there and if you walk there from central Nazareth it is not easy to get to...it is not signposted and you are walking through districts that are also strewn with litter. We wish we hadn't gone, it was not worth the effort.

The view is breathtaking, but knowing Jesus stood here and the crowd threatened to throw Him off is what really stops your breath. You can literally see for miles and miles. Comfortable hike on paved path up and large bolders to sit on once you arrive.

The nature authorities set the place properly, clean and accessible. The view is great and when weather planning to be rainy you see the land from the skyline

The overview of Nazareth with the Church of Annunciation, the Jezreel Valley, Mt Tabor and extended areas is well worth the short time (30 minutes max) necessary to view the area with an explanation.

I've read some other reviews of this site that speak of garbage/etc. Those reviews are correct but I was completely overwhelmed with the view of the southern part of the Jezreel Valley. You could see Mt. Tabor (Deborah and Barak), (The area where Gideon fought the Midianties) and Mt. Gilboa (where Saul and his sons died) all from this peak. The thought of Jesus (vanishing/disappearing) here was fantastic.

We visited here as part of a seven day Holy Land tour to discuss its meaning in the scriptures which was meaningful but the views of the countryside from here are just wonderful. It was quite windy and it is a walk from the parking area but the path is paved and although up hill, not that difficult to navigate. Worth a quick stop if just to see the views!

Yes - that is the reason for a U-turn.
These are the coordinates of a geocache that is hidden on Mt. Percipice. (We didn't find it so it may be missing) but if you can plug in coordinates into your GPS, this will at least get you to the area. Enjoy.
