It's an average church, quite modern. Downstairs are some old rocks that are supposed to be where Joseph's workshop was. It is nothing special

Nazareth and The Church of St. Joseph are "must-see" locations for any trip or pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Nazareth is the town of Jesus' youth and growing up and the Church of St. Joseph memorializes St. Joseph's role as foster-father in Jesus' life.
The Church itself is relatively simple adorned mainly with beautiful paintings depicting St. Joseph and the Child Jesus.
The Church is built over ancient remains and ruins which can be viewed by descending into the lower level.
On the other (south) end of the building under the Basilica of the Annunciation is the grotto where the Blessed Virgin's home was located and which can be viewed by visitors.

Next to the church of Annunciation, so you may as well stop in. Modest, so go before seeing the enormous counterpart.

The church is simple and modest but very peaceful and calming. Not much to see there but it is a nice place for a prayer or just a break from everything.

St Joseph Church is just a few minutes’ walk from the Church of the Annunciation. It is part of the Sanctuary of Nazareth that is administered by the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land. St. Joseph’s was completed in 1914 on top of the remains of earlier churches. The interior is simple and serene. There are three beautiful paintings depicting significant events: Joseph’s dream, the Holy Family with Jesus as a young boy, and the death of Joseph, lovingly surrounded by Jesus and Mary. Stairs in the church lead to the grotto below. The grotto is revered as the home of the Holy Family after they returned from Egypt and St Joseph’s workshop. Our guide explained that although Joseph is portrayed as a carpenter, he most likely worked with both wood and stone, since stone was a plentiful building material used locally.

Interesting to understand proximity of where Mary and Joseph grew up and how they would have gotten to know each other.

In the shadow of the Church of the Annunciation, this would be an easy church to overlook but my tour group and I found the mural over the altar beautiful and the basement archeological exhibit very interesting. It is reputed to be the house and workshop of St Joseph, built on top of much, much older churches.

Must see place in Nazareth, the place where Jesus grew up. We went there in excursion from Haifa, really enjoying the tour including this modest little church where Joseph worked. It definitely deserves the visit.

Adjacent to the Church of the Annunciation. Small, with less grandeur but certainly worth visiting. We couldn't see everything since there was a mass in progress.

This church is an exact opposite of the Church of the Annunciation when it comes to grandeur but not in religious significance. It is believed to be the home of the Holy Family and in it the carpentry shop of St. Joseph. Pilgrims usually visit first the Annunciation and this is like a side trip.
