The Marba Building, whose history is beautifully explained by a reviewer below in TA, is part of the overall tranquil part of Semarang. There's a pedestrian only street that has old antique shops, the Blenduk Church, a square where Indonesians are posing for selfies ......More

Located across the street from Blenduk Church, this unique and old building look like deserted, but I saw renovation works outside, just wasn't clear what is ongoing works. Just a short walk you can find De Spiegel building which has transformed into a chic cafe.

If you enjoy visiting historical sites, Old Semarang area where Marba Building is located is a must-visit. Also when you are here, make sure to take a stroll around the area, There are many colonial buildings that are preserved by the local government.

MARBA Building should get more attention. I believe as the Old Town get more attention, MARBA will get the preservation he deserves.

One of the iconic landmark in the Old Town. Yet the conditions are in a bad need of renovation to make it back to its colourful glory. Situated just across the Blenduk Church, both are the main icons of the place.

Caught sight of the Marba Building which has a wonderful façade while driving through the old town area. Lots of interesting buildings sadly many are in need of repair.
