Pasar Badung's friut and veg sellers are now trading from the nearby streets after the market was apparently destroyed by a fire. Certainly the prices are reasonable but the range is no doubt small compared with when the market was open.

I have been to many local markets but this is an absolute stinkhole. Better carry nose clips/masks to enter this dirty stinky place.

Pasar Badung is closed and will most probably not be re-opened for some time. Now the smaller pasars have taken over the food selling. The souvenir and handicrafts Pasar Kumbasari next door is still open

Well, some people like this place because they're after a "traditional" experience but I'm well over that kind of adventure travel. The place is dirty, narrow and chaotic. There are lots of child beggars hovering around which never makes for a pleasant time. Also, you...More
