This Shiva Temple is situated on the top of the hill, where in you have to climb about 280-300 steps. Here Adi shankaracharya worshiped Lord Shiva in a cave. One can spend an hour or so by absorbing the beauty of Srinagar from this hill....More

A holy place where Jagatguru Shankaracharya had done meditation. The whole of Srinagar is visible from this hilltop. Beware that you need to climb 200 steps even after reaching the hilltop by a vehicle. For those of you who can climb its worth being there.

The location gives excellent view of the city. The temple is very old and unique and worth visiting. The story associated with the temple provides a peak into the history of srinagar.

Temple is situated at a hill top. There are about 300 steps. One can easily do these as there are resting stops after 10 steps. Views are awesome.

Just came back from the City. It is absolutely not safe right now. I would say not this year atleast. City has been under curfew from last 80 days and nothing is operating at all.
