The people of Chandigarh might have a different opinion but the fact is a fact. Wave Cinemas at City Emporium Mall is undoubtedly the best cinema halls in the tri-city. The halls are clean, the seats are comfortable with proper leg space unlike those halls like say for example PVR Elante Mall. Watching a movie in comfort comes foremost and Wave Cinemas achieves this with a huge margin.

Although I had visited Wave Cinema few times earlier too, reviewing the latest visit to the Cinema Hall. Firstly the Car parking is very costly @ 40/- when even no facilities in the City Emporium Mall. Just one lift works to reach at the 3 floor for Wave Cinema. Escalators don’t work at City Emporium Mall. I visit Wave because one of the Audi have excellent leg space and have only 7 to 8 rows in total in entire Audi which itself provide a great experience of the movie. The screen and sound quality is good.

Parking is very costly , they can't charge in comparison of ELANTE. Roof was leaking because of rain water. Seats broken. Ticket booking counter is not on right place. Very shabby condition of parking. Structure not up to mark. They should open retail shops for waiting cinema goers .

The theatre is very badly maintained, the seats are creaky and upholstery is torn in some spots. In addition, they do not allow you to use the elevator or escalator to exit after the show and force you to walk down four floors on stairs on the outside of the building. The first time this happened I thought there was a problem with the elevator and we agreed to walk down after telling them that my wife had just had treatment on her knee and can't walk down stairs because of it but we were told that they can't help it. The second time this happened, I again asked why and I was told that it is "their policy", so I walked down four flights of stairs on the outside when it was raining and there were lots of bees and wasps (nests on the side of the stairs). It's a miracle that I got down without being stung or slipping on the stairs due to the rain. Just avoid it all costs, there are two better multiplexes in less than half km distance from this one and they care about customers unlike this one.

Last Month on the Sunday evening we are looking a theater where tickets are available for Simmba Movie so we found that there are tickets available there so we booked tickets but seriously telling such a bad experience there. Car parking is very costly and also seats are not comfortable and also smelly.

It's in City Emporium Mall. Most important point is that their ticket counter is on the LHS of the main entrance. I directly went upstairs & then had to come all the way down to buy the tickets. Lift was working, however the escalators were not. The entire mall is empty. Only this theater is working. I went only for the movie & hence didn't get disappointed. However if you are planning to check out the Mall as well, then better go to Elante or any other Mall in Chandigarh.
They screen latest Bollywood, Hollywood & Punjabi movies. If I remember correctly, then my movie was in 0.4 Screen & I just loved that. It was super spacious, seats were comfortable & the leg space was super awesome !! Even though my seat was in 3rd row, it was actually Row 6 or 7 - if I compare it with any other theater. It was the best experience I had in Rs 140 :) .. Sound quality was good, washrooms were clean & snacks were also available.
In a previous review someone very correctly pointed out that at the end of the movie, they don't allow you to come out through the gate where lift is there. And if the escalators are not working, then you have to walk all the way down. It's a good exercise as such & good for health, however it could be tricky for elderly people. One workaround is to carry a laptop bag or something & deposit that in their cloak room - when you are entering the theater. Then at the end of the movie, they allow you to go through the entry door for collecting the bag & that's where you can take the lift. Hope it will help someone :)
I had a wonderful experience at this theater & became a fan of Wave Cinemas :) .. Will definitely suggest to visit it - for a grand movie experience - at a reasonable price
