Location was truly Mesmerizing. Went their early in the morning and had a blissful view in the boat ride to the dive location.
In terms of the service, Lacadives instructors were highly experienced and professional. Wouldn't recommend anything otherwise for an activity like diving - which has risks involved in it. They taught and gave the instructions in a well structured manner. The protocols were followed with discipline.
Initially, I was facing trouble breathing. But they corrected my technique and within 10 minutes I learnt to breathe underwater with the oxygen tank.
Dive experience was something that everyone should experience at least once. It was surreal to see underwater animals, rocks and fishes. There were 2 instructors along with me to ensure my safety and take videos and photographs. The photos were promptly given to me after the dive. Would recommend you to carry your pendrive / laptop with you to take the camera content immideately.
Overall, Lacadives is the apex diving class in Andamans. And well priced as well. Would definitely repeat going when I visit there again!

As all our planned adventure activities at Havelock got washed out thanks to the cyclone, we reached Port Blair quite disappointed.
But our resort team at PB connected us to this champion group. Few of my friends signed up for scuba diving while rest of us including me opted for snorkeling.
They turned out to be great professionals and once the paper work was over , detailed briefing and safey exercises were carried out. Thereafter kit and equipment fitting trails were done and off we were to the jump sites in three boats.
The dives/ snorkeling were carried out in a very professional manner and without any hitch. At night they came to the resort to share the pictures they had captured on their go - pro cameras
The corals and the shoal of colourful , radiant fishes will always remain embedded in our memories.
Thankyou Lacodives.

Last week was my 3rd visit to Lacadives at Chidiyatapu. I was introducing a group of friends to diving and all of them wish to come back again.
I believe Lacadives is the best diving school. They have a beautiful dive shop along the ocean, which provides a perfect venue not just for diving, but also to enjoy the sunsets or to generally unwind.
The equipment is top notch and caters to beginners, kids as well as advanced divers. The team, including Thagay, is ever helpful and willing to assist. They also have newly acquired boats and serve chai and biscuits between dives.
Titiksh, the lead instructor and manager, with his calm temperament and scores of tattoos, comes with years of experience and is determined to make every dive different and challenging. He helped me finished my Advanced course and introduced me to concepts such as a negative entry.
Anirudh, the ever smiling dive master is thorough with the sights and is levying beer fines for everytime you screw up a dive signal underwater (that are rarely enforced).
Tarun took me for the first night dive and made it enjoyable instead of daunting. Being a local, he is also resourceful and was happy to help with bookings, reservations etc.
All in a all a great team.
The dive centre is about 45 minutes from Port Blair but would help arrange cabs from the airport and stay at their associated resort, The Big Tree. The dive centre and Big Tree are probably the only areas around with wifi connectivity. They are also willing to transport you to and fro from the centre free of cost.
They have access to 6-7 dive sights which range from 8 meters to the mystifying 30 meter shipwreck. Plenty of life including groupers, fusiliers, snappers, turtles, cuttlefish, barracuda, octopus, silver jacks, turtles and plenty of macro life.
Thanks guys for a great time.

Lacadives is considered to be a 5 Star in managing scuba diving in Andamans.
But the most insensible team which has taken 11k ( almost looted) with no pictures and videos , thereby after four days mentioned that they have technical issues and the camera could not retrieve pics and videos, surprisingly no back ups
Now with once upon a lifetime experience and high priced l , would you not want to go to the cheaper guy outside who will charge you only 3k .
This diving centre must be fooling people for the past 20 years and don't know with how many they have technical issues.
Also they are attached with Taj Exotica- Havelock.
Very disappointed.

The highlight of my Andamans vacation was hands down the diving with Lacadives. We faced some turbulent weather conditions but everything was extremely well co-ordinated and managed by them. Furthermore, the quality of the dive equipment was top notch.
My instructor, Titiksh was a thorough professional with immense expertise because of whom I have really gained confidence underwater (with challenging weather conditions). On the whole, an experience of a lifetime, all thanks to Lacadives!

Your first dive is once in a life experience, when you come out of your fears. My instructor at Lacadives took really good care of me. She was patient and encouraged me to learn at my pace. The dive sites are good with lots of fishes. Chidiya tapu is isolated so it's great for people who like to spend time by themselves and close to nature. Diving equipment can be upgraded but they are safe to use. The staff was hospitable and helped me clear the course on time.
Will surely recommend to first time divers.

Kudos to the team, and a special shout out to our instructor Anmol, for an excellent time getting certified in Havelock. I completed my open water and advanced open water with Lacadives and I’d recommend it to anyone contemplating either or both. The team is very professional and has dive shops on either side of the island, making it convenient regardless of where you choose to stay. They also had a broad range of equipment (even powered masks!) overall, I’m very glad I did the certification with Lacadives!

The entire team situated at the Taj Exotica Andamans are outstanding. Special mention of Dev, Rishab, Timoth, and Anvidha - they represent the best of hospitality in the East, with the professionalism of the West.
We're a family of 5, 4 of which were PADI certified. Following our first dive, I was very comfortable in sending my 11yr old for his Junior Scuba Diver certification.
Every member of the team were very professional, efficient, and skilled divers. They clearly communicated our dive plans, what to expect, and what sea life to watch for. Their patience inspired confidence in divers that were a bit nervous, and their own enthusiasm focused divers that were overly excited.
In addition to this, they're all the type of people you'd want to hang out with for the day and go for a dive. Great people!
Thanks for making it an exceptional holiday.
I would recommend this team to all of our friends and family.

Went diving after a long time and the staff was very helpful in ensuring that I was up to speed with everything. Everything was done so promptly and efficiently. My instructor was super fun to learn from! All car, snacks, etc arrangements were done with utmost ease. The dive sights too are just beautiful, would absolutely suggest a night dive if possible.

One of the best experience i had was diving and it was made even better with lacadives. The instructors, divemasters and crew were down to earth and aimed at giving everybody who came there a pleasent and comfortable experience.
The location is a secluded place and doesnt have many people which is a peaceful place for taking a break from the city life at the same time the dive sites are overpopulated with fish life and other marine life....if you are second guessing it's time to wash it away and dive in with lacadives

If i do not known swimming ,scuba dive is possible ??
How many cost for that ??
Written 27 August 2018
Hi there, you need to know how to swim to certify as a SCUBA diver. However, a discover SCUBA dive (which is a hand held, closely supervised dive by an instructor) is possible. This costs INR 4,500 + 18% GST

which is a better to do 1st time scuba diving, chidiya tapu or Havelock island ?
Written 27 December 2017
Depends on how much time you have.
Chidiyatapu is closer to Port Blair and also less crowded.
Havelock has more schools and people.
But both of them are good.

Hello, I hv few queries about scuba diving...
1. Is high blood pressure is a contraindication for scuba diving ?? If someone has hypertension and which is controlled by medication can he will be allowed / safe to do scuba ??
2. Can people wearing spectacles will able to do scuba or he/she will have to wear contact lens for scuba diving ??
Written 25 October 2017
For 1st question its better to take a medical opinion and also consult with the Diving Company/person....
For 2nd question diving cannot be done with spectales i think and also with contact lenses....
