AMAZING walks through the narrow peninsula, from Salinas on the malecon to El Morro, then la Chocolatera finishing with La Loberia. Early morning is the best time to enjoy flora&fauna and a cool breeze, the trails and roads are really perfect for walking, jogging, bicycling....More

Fabulous peninsula in the Pacific Ocean on the military base which is now owned by the EC government crashing surf and this unique spot where the waters circle and blow up through a hole in the rocks.

Every time we have come here we have thoroughly enjoyed it. Fascinating rock formations at this westernmost point of continental South America.

If you are in Salinas definitelly come to visit. Nice lookouts of the ocean and waves breaking and apparently during the season you might even see the whales. We had to book a boat tour to see them.

BTW, it's very inexpensive to travel by taxi from Salinas to La Chocolatera. $3 ... each way. It seems most trips anywhere around Salinas are $3.
