This castle french-gothic style building was a private residence and has been donated by the former owner and is now a museum with a huge garden, where you could also enjoy a nice picnic, having a coffee or just chill out. There are guided tours,...More

I was roaming around Medellin with my husband and came across El Castillo Museo, and decided to check it out. We had no idea of what to expect, but by our surprise we really enjoyed this place. There is a castle with alot of history,...More

Incredible views of the town from the gardens. We did the interior tour as well which was Spanish only but still worth it. About 45 min long.

Superb little mock chateau and gardens in the middle of the city. Highly maintained gardens surround the building. The "castle" itself looks a little concrety from the outside but the inside is a quirky gem, made poignant by the tragic story of its inhabitants.

Great place to relax...just up the road from Santa Fe shopping mall. Not a big fan of the doll museum there but the grounds are nice...quiet and simple worth a couple hours to relax. There is a small coffee place to buy a snack.

El Castillo is a beautiful former home converted into a museum. The gardens are well maintained and make for the perfect picnic position. The castle itself is charming and displays the furnishings of this former home. There are hourly tours but if you don't speak...More

The castle has a history, a bit sad....but beautiful! The gardens are a miniature Versailles in the middle of Medellin Colombia. There are rooms with local crafts to include beautiful embroidered table cloths and antique silver. A great place to spend the day away from...More

Don't go to the Botanical Garden (which is nothing), go to the Castle Museum instead. It's an oasis of serenity and beauty in this hectic city. The grounds are extensive and well tended with mature vegetation. It's on a hill so there are nice views....More

You are writing to the wrong person. I never wrote such a comment in my review- "egregious proofs of old money in the hands of those who never had to work for" . I do not hold such views either.
