Around the square one can see dozens of statues made by the famous local artist. For fans of the artist a must go. The square is very easy to reach by metro.

But i would non recommend city center. A tour through the city is ok, but there are better things to do around Medellin

The area is kind of shady (right next to the prostitution street). Carry your bag in front of you when walking. Must visit the museum. The entire third floor is filled with Botero paintings and statues. A very busy plaza.

Get up close with the Botero sculptures. Easy access to the works for photos and appreciation. Don't miss this.

Don’t miss it if you’re a fan of Botero’s artworks. Even if you’re not a fan, it’s location is easily accessible and near other tourist attractions too.

Great place to hang out and admire the cathedral and its gargoyles along with 23 of Botero's finest statues.
