Have to know the history of Chengdu to understand all the memorial figure statues. There are so many and also a beautiful bonsai area. Some must be hundreds of years old. Alongside the temple complex is Jinli street which is worth walking down.

Wuzhou temple is located in Jinli Pedestrian street. There is a 60RMB entrance fee. But it is worth the visit. The first reason is because you will find some English captions, albeit ones that described the area. They are sufficient to help you understand the...More

It's not a temple as much as a memorial to the kings, generals, and ministers from the Three Kingdoms period which focuses on Sichuan. The main feature is a series of larger than life statues of those kings, generals, and ministers. I liked the garden...More

My wife is originally from Sichuan and served as my educational guide. Lots of statues of historically important people from China's past. It might be difficult to appreciate if going without a Native Chinese speaker to read the narratives though some are in English. This...More

As far as I can remember, the site is pretty flat. There is the usual entrance step in front of each temple, as in any temple, and you will need help for these like anywhere else. But there are not the endless flights of... More
