Suzhou is a great city with lots of history. There are many things to do in this city. During the day, we stopped by a few gardens and temples. At night time, we went to the Shantang Street. This street looks like ancient China with...More

Definitely dressed-up for the tourist. But lots of energy and buzz, especially when you visit at night. Sit in a restaurant or snack the numerous street food options on offer. Lots of nice photo angles at the street and by the canals.

Maybe it's familar with the old street in my home town, crowded with touritst but not noisy at all, you can walk along the street, enjoying the scenery and touch the speed of life along Santang River, tasting some unique chinese dishes.

The Canal cruise is a must do in Suzhou. Allows you to get a feel of what life in the past was like. Meander the street, make sure you try out the Naan bread and won-tongs. Definitely worth a few hours of your time.

This place is very crowded with tourists, as expected since it is so accessible by metro/ buses, and it is quite pretty with the canals and old style houses. Certainly a very photogenic place, and worth coming in the late afternoon (so you can also...More
