Hubu Alley in the Eyes of a Wuhan Local
Jan 2020
I am a native of Wuhan, and I often take some foreign guests to visit Wuhan. For me, Hubu Alle is: Hubu alley is one of the most famous streets in Wuhan with over 400 years of history. The 150-meter long street is crowded with various kinds of snack stalls. It has become Wuhan’ official snack street. In here, you can try some authentic Re Gan Mian(hot-and-dry noodles), Hu Tang Fen(Soup noodles with fish paste).

Street food that you can taste
Jan 2020 • Friends
Visited recently this place. Generally speaking it didn't impress me too much. Mostly, visitors can find sea food, however almost the every second seller suggests you the same dishes. If you walk around you may find deserts and drinks as well. Majority of sellers know just simple Hello in English, so it's better to learn basic phrases. Prices are affordable, but sometimes it's worth to bargain. As they see tourists they might attempt to cheat you, suggesting higher price.

Wuhan street food
Feb 2019
If you like Chinese street food, make sure you go with an empty stomach. As there are too much varieties of food to choose. Couple of store selling the same type of food, in order to know which one is better one, just queue with the store with most crowd.

Great Food Experience
Jul 2018 • Friends
Hubu Alley, brings tons of food options for travelers looking to experience true Wuhan street food. I was impressed by the amount of people who gathered in this area, the environment and the culinary experience you get makes the visit worth it. Don't forget to eat the Re Gan Mian, or Hot Dry Noodles !

Total 10/10 cultural experience

The food is amazing. Great location. So busy and almost no one speaks English. If you are from the west and want to experience an alien culture, whether its for your children, or for yourself, i recommend.

Choices choices

Came across this while checking out some historical sites nearby.Firstly, it is within walking distance of a few other attractions, the yellow crane tower included(about 20 mins). They also got a good variety of all the local delicacies for u to try and the presentation is not too bad for being street food at an affordable cost. Makes for a good all day trip taking in local culture, food and people while being able to visit more iconic attractions but in itself nothing spectacular.

lots of hype, little delivered
Feb 2018 • Couples
like so many Chinese Alleys, walking streets, this is just one in a thousand. Was expecting to get really good local tastes, but like so many other tourist attractions, they fall short on delivering quality food, service and environment to wow the tourists

All kinds of delicious food of Hubei Wuhan
Sep 2017
It's just a heaven of gourmands, and people born in Wuhan like me.
Left my home town for years, I am dreaming of the food almost every night, hot dry noodle, soy milk, smelly bean curd, a lot of other food don't even know how to name with English... you have to try everything here but you would need a week probably. It's becoming my memory of childhood and my home sick.
If you have a local friend and plenty of time, you may seek better food in many hidden corners in the huge city, but if you are alone, just be here and check out the food culture of my home town, the trip will definitely open your mind.
