A massive miniature model country. Needs a full day and probably an evening; we noticed big crowds queuing for the light show at sundown and this would be a great option. Having lived in Beijjng for 3 years and toured around a bit we were impressed with the accuracy and intricacy of Forbidden city, heavenly and summer palaces models etc...the Great Wall model is Cecile B De Mille epic. Food was inexpensive and regional snacks readily available. A big issue for young families is the availability of toilets and SC provided lots of clean and convenient facilities. Wheelchair friendly attraction. Splendid China has an old school charm; inventiveness, pride and inspiration to travel more. This easily could have been naff but was really very delightful. Will visit again to complete the other half of China. Excellent Akimbo cafe next door also.…

One day is not enough to see the whole place but it's not that interesting though... Unless you are into miniature works...its quite great....its like seeing the whole of China in one place...but fake miniature creations that are as tall as people or a bit higher.... it has chinese opera shows...magic shows...and decent restaurants and a lot of street food style... One good thing is they have motorized bikes u can rent to go around the whole place...because its big!!…

I’m negative by nature, but I have nothing but pleasant feelings about Splendid China. Clean, nice, friendly. An an amazing entertainment value. Especially so if you’re as ancient as I am. One word : Half_Price

I visited this cultural village in 2006. It was amazing then and highlighted the ethnic "minorities" in China. A worthwhile visit if you are in Shenzen. An interesting fact is that the Govt of China are encouraging "minority" ethnicities to increase their populations.
