The square is your typical square in the centre of a town. It has a wonderful bronze statue on a high pedestal, a memorial to Hernando de Magallanes. It also has a statue of a mermaid with two tails to represent each ocean.

lovely little park with street vendors - music and points of interest both around and within. be careful not to get too wet from the hose lines - I speak from experience.

You will surely pass through this square as it is in the center of town. Tourist info center is located here. Big statue and nice landscaping.

There was live entertainment, live preaching, amazing weather, lots of street vendors, and just a really great vibe. Nice place to spend a little bit of time
