It was pouring when we were here so windows fogged up and animals probably hit from the rain. Nevertheless you do see the landscape change on you and the sheep, mongeese et all remain a nice distraction on your travel.

Amazing scenery with top billing add pet the title. Camped the night on the shoe of the food just outside Punra Arenas. Sounded like 30 knots outside all night, with a spot of rain thrown in for good measure. Do it, love it.

The ironic road between Punta & Puerto Natales -- driving it kinda feels like driving across Wyoming -- windy as hell with not a lot of traffic. Several spots for viewing rheas and such.

I always love a sense of wilderness and this just gets you in the right mood for Torres del Paine NP. Rheas, condors, caracaras, wetlands, and wide-open spaces make for a great drive. But there are speed-traps, so if someone is flashing their lights from...More

Great drive between Punta Arenas and Puerto Natalas. Lots of wildlife, leaning trees, estancias, architecture. It's the End of the World route!

A fine, paved road from Punta Arenas to Cerro Castillo north of Puerto Natales. Speed limit usually 100 km/hr and you can average that. Beware of gusty winds, a continuous problem in Patagonia. Many guanacos and rheas alongside the highway. Where ther are hills, you...More
