It is a short and simple pier but it is a lovingly restored piece of local and national Chilean history from the period (1880s) when the region exported nitrates from nearby mines for fertilizers to the world. It also has great views of the ocean...More

If you like birds, this pier it's a very good place to observe this beautiful bird. you can continue to the fish market to see pelicans, cormorants, gray gull and others.
