On a very Hot da it was good to stop by the museum to gain a little of the history of the area. this is also an excellent rainy day activity tht will enhance your overall Angkor Wat experience.

This museum is close to the ticket office of Angkor Wat, so if you are passing by drop in(3dollars admission for tourist).Its reasonably small but has some great artifacts on display including Buddhas and pottery (in air conditioned galleries ) as well as historical information...More

I should have visited this museum before I went to Banteay Kdei or at least on the same day. It's interesting to learn why these statutes were removed from Banteay Kdei. I wish Siem Reap has more museums like this one.

I was an only one visitor and a staff followed me all the time keeping some distance from me. As a Japanese, we may not lose anything paying respect to the Japanese who helped the digging up of the historical statues etc.in Cambodia Admission fee...More
