Fantastic
Oct 2019
Me and my husband were very happy at Chobe national park with our beloved guide Guba. We saw sooo many lions and other beautiful animals very close, we even have seen a lioness with a new-born kitten, it was unbelievable. We spent a night in the bus and it was unforgettable. Thank you very much Guba and Judy!! I hope I will be able to come to Botswana soon to visit Chobe again!

Chobe Game Drives
Sep 2019 • Couples
Yesterday and today completed game drives of Chobe national park. Could not be happier
Our guide Guba was 100% yesterday we joked/mentioned we wanted to see a Leopard. After seeing a Lion cruise past us Guba stopping after a while and said he seen a Leopard under a tree we were in disbelief. 45minutes later it came out to say g'day. We got some magic photos and got to appreciate it in its own habitat. Today we wanted to see Hyenas we went a different route from all the cars and were fortunate enough to see three. The second time Guba has seen Hyenas this year. After that we got to witness Lions cruise past the car.
We were extremely fortunate to see what we seen.
All the staff we met weee extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommended
Tripadviser does not allow photos to go up over 5meg so it's all too hard to add

Great for boating experience in the Chobe, not if you are a keen photographer
Aug 2019
We went on an afternoon boat safari. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and it was a nice afternoon altogether. If you are looking for a photo-focused activity this might not be it as the guide kept missing the photo opportunities and the positioning of the boat was not great. We could see elephants crossing the river which was high on everyone's list yet our guide bypassed the scene entirely and we were taken to view a lilac-breasted roller instead which was not the catch.

Although it was a nice boat ride we were disappointed that at 5 we sped back to the gate area and spent about 20min looking at the high sun for a sunset photo (the sun was at least 45 away from setting) which made us feel our experience was being cut short and then proceeded to have the slowest ride back to the jetty - which was a waste of 30min that could have been used for game viewing instead

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!
May 2019 • Solo
I wish I could put in words everything that Puku Safaris provided to me during my two whole days with them. During my 22 days of southern Africa experience, those 2 days were the most unforgettable ever.
Starting from being picked-up in Victoria Falls, very punctually in the morning, Brave, the friendly driver and guide, drove me to Kasane and dropped me at the bridge, where I have done a morning boat-drive at Chobe River. The view is just spectacular and breathtaking! I could see elephants bathing, many hippos around, along with some crocodiles and buffaloes! Doing this tour by boat, is the only way of seeing these animals from very close.
On the land, from very-close, I saw impalas and kudus. The trip is very relaxing, and the guide was always giving lots of interesting information about the animals and fascinating perspectives about the life and nature around. They provided hot and cold drinks during the whole tour and at the end, we had an amazing lunch at Chobe Lodge.
In the afternoon, Brave came again to pick me up and we entered the Chobe National Park. Just after crossing the gate, he briefed me about the area and explained to me which animals could be seen, here and there, learning that the leopard is the most difficult one to spot.
I guess I am very lucky because the leopard was exactly the first animal that we saw!! I was shocked to see how beautiful this animal is and again, how close we could get to them…and they don't feel disturbed at all with by presence!
During this first day, I saw dozens of impalas, kudos, pumbas, baboons and of course, many many elephants.
On the way to the camp, I even saw a Leopard attacking an impala witnessed by three giraffes! It was an out of this world experience!
The camp is something that left me with no words! My tent had two extremely comfy double beds, carpet, lights and a proper toilet-seat in the back!! The food prepared by them is also unbelievably tasty, considering that we were in the middle of nowhere...All the facilities were just perfect! They do a great job and it’s crazy to imagine that once they leave the camp, they gather and organise everything very fast, properly and the only things left are their footprints.
My second day of game-drive started very early. We woke up at about 5 am; Brave explained that it is the best time to see the felines because during the day, when it is hotter, they don't go out hunting.
The first sun rays were appearing in the horizon when we left. He drove beside the Chobe River and the Sunrise reflection in the water was magical!
We passed by a carnivorous owl, some beautiful birds and we crossed a group of about 200 buffaloes!!! But, the target in that morning was the lions and Brave was very focused on finding them! His experience helped a lot and this is when I understood how important it is to have a guide for these activities.
Brave saw some animal footprints on the way and he knew it were the one of a lion, He even knew that it had passed there few minutes ago. I couldn’t believe how much knowledge he had! This is what I call EXPERIENCE ! He kept driving that whole area for about 15 minutes and bingo! It was very far away, where just his trained-eyes could see, there was about 4 lionesses. He went so close to them that my heart started beating faster. Getting so close to these huge animals is something that I will never get used to. We spent some time watching them curiously and then, we kept going.
Brave asked me which animal I haven’t seen yet and that I would like to see. I said the ZEBRAS! Clever as he is, he answered: “I know where we can maybe see them!”. And he drove for about 30 minutes, very far away. We passed by a different vegetation and we got to the place he thought the zebras could be. Once again, he was right! There were a lot of zebras in the other side of the river, well-gathered, eating and wandering around freely in their habitat.
I was completely satisfied with everything that I had seen during these 2 days in Chobe. We started our way back to the camp and from there, I would finish my trip. I thought I had already seen all the animals that could be possible seen and it was more than I had expected. I was already very grateful about it. But what happened was that, totally unexpectedly, when driving slowly and just enjoying the view, we saw SEVEN lions! 4 females and 3 males. The females were silently observing the cows close to the river and planning the best time to attack them. The males were just in the shades watching and waiting for the meal to be served, typical! 😊 Before that day, I haven’t seen any lions in my life and I thought I wouldn’t have the chance and it was okay since Brave had already shown me most of the wild animals.
I am so happy having been with Brave, he always goes the extra-mile to fulfil all your wishes by looking in all directions to see if he can spot interesting things.
I will never forget this moment. As we were far away, there was absolutely no other cars around. It was just us, in that beautiful landscape in a completely silent scenery, watching the big lion, the king of the jungle right in front of us. And not just one, but 3! It was definitely the best way of saying goodbye to Chobe.
Back to camp, I had a shower (hot shower!), another delicious meal organized by Patrick's staff and we went back to town.
I must add that beside this amazing experience that I had in the bush, Judith, one of the owners was a great support to me! Not only in helping to put this amazing safari-trip together for me, but also for finding me logistic-solutions when one of my previous rides, in another country was cancelled. She had no obligation in helping me, but without asking, she was very proactive and offered me the best alternative arrangement. I am very grateful for all the Puku professional team for their kindness, experience and reliable service. It was all flawless.
It was really an amazing trip with comfort, tasty food and most importantly, super-safe thanks to their incredible experience and knowledge about the sites and locations.
All the schedule and transfers were timely and seamless.
It is the best, most complete and best-price fore sure! I highly recommended Puku Safari! The best of the best! Beyond expectations! Fantastic!

Knowledgeable guide & an unforgettable experience
May 2019 • Friends
We had a group of 9 which fit perfectly in their open air game drive vehicles. They stocked our cooler with soda, water & beer. In the morning drives he had a coffee/tea/biscuit break. We did 2 evening drives, a morning drive and a morning cruise. If going with this tour I highly recommend Gaba as he is very knowledgeable about how to find certain animals & where they like to be at what times. He was actively tracking to find us the animals we wanted and was intuitive on stopping when we all seemed interested or moving on if our excitement was low. He was quick to spot all mammals/birds and was happy to share what he could about the different animals.

Fantastic value for money
May 2019 • Couples
We booked a 3-4 hr morning game drive and then 3-4 hr sunset cruise down the Chobe before we left England for 900 pula pp [ about £75 and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We were disappointed not to see a lion or leopard but saw everything else in the morning, but the river cruise surpassed our expectations as we saw loads of hippos, elephants, saw an elephant swimming, another lying down in the water playing, giraffes, crocs, loads of fabulous birds and some unbelievable sunset photos. We even were given a free hot buffet lunch overlooking the Chobe at one of the best lodges in Kasane. Compared with safaris we did in Nairobi and Vic Falls, this was unbelievably cheap for the experience. Our drive, Brave did everything he could to find us a lion but it just wasn't to be. We were going to do the sunrise cruise and evening safari the next day but decided to reverse it and do the same order as we did the first day as we thought we would get more animals at the river in the evening than in the morning and more chance of a lion in the morning. [ We didnt get the free lunch the second day ?] Same price, great value.Puku also did an airport pick up for us from Vic Falls airport [300 pula pp] and Kasane airport for our friends [100pula pp] Brilliant company.

King is the best - but all game drives were great!
Aug 2018 • Family
We did several game drives and boat cruises with Puku during our stay. We especially recommend the guide King, but all the other guides were also really friendly and knowledgeable. One of the cars seemed to need a a bit of maintenance and one of the boats was not in a good condition (dints and holes, no life jackets etc), but not in an alarming way and the staff made up for it with their great tours. We would go with them again any time!

Incredible!
Apr 2018 • Friends
We stayed 2 nights and 3 days in the camping safari and the entire experience was absolutely incredible! Brave (our guide) was very experienced and adorable. He showed us all the major animals one can see in the park! The campsite was extremely impressive with every kind of equipment ready for us. We slept very comfortably. Patrick, our campsite chef and ex-guide, cooked delicious food for every meal. It was better than what we ate so far on our entire trip. The camp assistants were also very kind. Our safari days were just magic. Thank you Puku Safaris!

What an experience! Awesome! Just that!
Dec 2016
After the title I've chosen, I almost don't need to write a review! We had a great time with all the six game drives we took. Each time, we thought it could be the same, but it never was. Each drive was different, full of surprises. Never seen so many elephants together. Great guides, great moments! That's it: awesome!

Puku was great, good price and fantastic boat safari!
Oct 2014 • Friends
A small local outfit in Botswana, Judy was great to deal with and I set everything up by email beforehand without issues. They offered a really good price for transport from Livingstone, Zambia to Chobe Camp in Namibia. We stopped for supplies in Kasane, Botswana, and booked a river safari with them before heading and hour away to the camp. Really glad we did, as there was much more wildlife in the Kasane area. So the two of us had a private boat safari for a very good price, informative guide, drinks provided, and wow we got very close to the hippos, buffalo and elephants and there we ALOT of them. Seeing the elephants (with babies) taking mud baths right in front of us was truly an amazing site, one of the best I've seen, and I have been on dozen or so game drives throughout Africa.
