The walk up requires good shoe and stamina- I recommend being acclimated before attempting the climb. It is a religious camino for many, so respect this as well. If I was to do it again, I would take dog food and lots of water with...More

Excellent view, climbing and slightly suffering because of the altitude is totally worth it. It's better to do it in trek shoes.

Well worth the stairs up. Excellent views of the city and the lake. Great photos and panoramic views.

Nice uphill hike right in the middle of the town. A bit steep and leaves you out of breath due to elevation. The view from the top makes it well worth the effort.

I would highly recommend this if you have around 3 hrs in Copacabana. Three hours would be a good time allowance to leisurely go up and down as well as spend a bit of time at the top. Take plenty of water as you will...More

Read about this viewpoint, which is a must visit when being in Copacabana. Steep way up, with typical hard street/stairs to walk, but thats the requirement to deserve an outstanding view over Lake Titicaca & Copacabana. Go late afternoon to view the sunset & enjoy...More

We left late in the afternoon from the beach at the lake, had to walk up the hill through town and hoped to reach the top before sun set. But, we ended up watching it set along the way up. Once it goes down, the...More

definitely worth the effort to climb above Copacabana and enjoy the view from the top of Cerro Calvario. You should allow at least an hour to reach the top from the center of town depending on how you have adjusted to the altitude.
