Beautiful peaceful place in the middle of the sandhills country of Nebraska. Nicely laid out and very nice services are conducted there. Alan Pannel is very gracious and professional in carrying out his duties @ each and every service.

Still fairly new as there aren't that many headstones out there. There appeared to be two service areas and an office as well as two sections with headstones.

While in Alliance, we saw the cemetery and decided to pay our respects. The Veterans cemetary is a recent addition to the Alliance area. It is built on a slight upslope with an overlook of the WW 2 Airbase for paratroopers that was once located here. Not a lot of the actual airbase is intact but the airport is still fully functioable. To the East there is a view of the municiple golf course. The grounds are set up very funtionally and the buildings are new and quite nice.…

The Nebraska State Veterans Cemetery is located on part of the former WWII Army Airbase which was the home of the 507th Paratrooper Division. This cemetery was dedicated in 2010 after more than 20 years of fundraising and passing of laws. It a city, county, and state venture and built to Federal specifications. The architecture of the visitors' center/administration building and grounds is very similar to Federal Cemetery's. Grave markers are the same as what are located in Arlington National Cemetery. The staff is wonderful and if you can, visit with them. Their dedication and commitment to honoring all veterans and especially those interred there is unparalleled. This is a reverent place for any honorably discharged veteran to be buried along with his loved one.…
