Matthaei is a retreat from the city. The conservatory is a great place to shake off the winter blues and travel to the tropics. In the spring, songbirds sing in the nearby forest which can be explored by nature trails. The pond is a great...More

This was a nice surprise and a fun way to spend a few hours. We saw lots of wildlife, flowers and enjoyed the exercise walking through the paths. The store is cute, and the staff is very nice.

Inside and outside are fascinating plants and flowers. Lots for kids to do (e.g.: scavenger hunts) plus a kids garden. Love to bring visitors here.

Matthei Botanical Gardens are one of best in the area and worth a visit if you're in the Ann Arbor vicinity. No matter what season, there's always sometime to see.

We saw lots of flowering herbs & perenials. Some even grow where we live in Houston. I loved the succulents & cacti in the conservatory. Even found a few I had never seen before. Fun way to spend a couple hours. Enjoy, we did!
