The area
Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

- NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates10,618 contributionsLovely beachThe beach is a must visit in Dubai. This is a huge wide stretch of beach and Kite Beach is a hub of restaurants and activities, including volleyball, padel tennis and more. You can take your own sun seats or pay to hotel sun beds. There is a bike track, walking track and the sea is generally very lovely and calm. Thanks for the wonderful review, Nicholas. Our team will be thrilled reading your kind words! Great views of iconic Dubai buildings and a lovely sandy beach. Life guards on duty and loads of facilities, shops, and places to eat. Only negative is that the shower, toilet and changing facilities could improve. We strive to provide the best experience. We'll be taking yours into consideration as we work to improve. I didn’t have much expectations but I was surprised with the clear and pristine waters, less crowd and Burj Al Arab views. We didn’t have much time to spend here and also it was a bit hot but I liked this beach. Thanks for the great review, Dillsefoodie. It was a pleasure serving you as a guest. - Veronika H81 contributionsThe best days on the Kite BeachIt was my 4th vacation in Dubai. I’ve spent amazing time on the Kite beach with friends. This location is easy to reach by bus (you can take it from the bus station near the Mall of Emirates) and taxi. There are various cafes to eat with a sea view. This beach has some changing rooms, toilets and showers. I advise you to rent a bicycle and take a ride. Also, you can find other sports activities.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 7 August 2024
- Thebates22Chester, United Kingdom2,105 contributionsBe under no illusion that Dubai beaches are not a patch on natural European beachesIf you’re reading this you are either already in Dubai or considering visiting Dubai… Be under no illusion that Dubai beaches are not a patch on natural European beaches, no matter how much faking they do. Taking that into account Kite beach is certainly one of the better beaches in Dubai, with no high rises, clean toilet, shower & changing facilities along with a variety of pop up eateries. Beach is clean and we found the water to be slightly cooler here than it is at JBR beach for example. life guards on duty.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 September 2024

One of my most favorite beaches in Dubai is called: Kites Beach.
On each trip to Dubai we tried to spend a day on Kites Beach.
We were just there at the beginning of January and we all were appalled at the increase in prices over our last visit was seven months ago. There is now a high tariff charged for the front row and it decreases as one move further away from the beach. We selected the third row and still it was too expensive.
Unfortunately the day we selected to enjoy Kites Beach was somewhat overcast, so we only spent an hour or so enjoying the beach. The water was a bit too cold to enter, so I spent my time simply collecting sea shells along the beach.
Finally, what surprises me is that there are no true amenities especially for the use of the Kite’s Beach paying patrons. There is a very clean public bath house that includes changing rooms and toilets and these are open and provided to the general public.
We will think twice next about selecting Kite’s Beach as directly to both sides are Public Beaches with free admission.

We had a healthy community of stray cats, who were looked after by many but most important loved by many. Majority of them were VACINATED and SPAYED by local community. Unfortunately they were all removed and noone can give us a clear answer to what have happened to them.

A great setup now! This area has continued to develop and now offers good food choices along with a day out that is lighter on the wallet. Bonus is there is lots of fitness activities including their popular running track and Burj Al Arab back ground. 😎

I usually start my mornings with a run at the beach and am definitely not the only one. One of the favorites in the city, it’s almost always busy with scores of residents and tourists alike. Popular for activities like paddle boarding, kite surfing, etc. this is also a great place to hang out or grab a burger at the infamous Salt Burger.

Definitely way better than any of the private hotel beaches.
So glad our local friends introduced us to this place.
Our hotel in JVC offers free beach access on the Palm and we went over there for an afternoon last week. Didn't like it at all.
Stagnat water, luke warm, beach ok, but spent a fortune on two bottle of water and a coffee.
The Kite Beach did it for us. We went there at around 3PM. Kids spent the rest of the day in the water, which is much cooler than on the Palm, waves, kites and lovely breeze.
Food trucks everywhere...not expensive.
Showers and bathrooms clean.
You can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas for around AED 180 (all day). Since we only arrived at 4PM, we only layed out our towns and mats on the beach. Waited for the sunset, grabbed a hot dog and left at around 8PM.
We will go back before leaving Dubai next week!

Postive: most parts of the beach are free, Therefore you can bring your own seats and parasol.
Negative: To rent a parasol and 2 sun lounger cost 200 AES which was the most expensive beach experience we ever have had in any part of the world. They don't even clean correctly (in Corona times).
The sand close to the and in the sea is dirty and fully of petroleum. After the visit we have had black feet and to throw away some swimwear poluted with oil that could not be cleaned afterwards.

So many activities to do at Kite Beach @Jumeirah Dubai. Jet ski, Volley ball sports club, kite surfing, trampoline and bungee jumping to name a few things to do here. There is a very long jogging and cycling track that runs parallel to the beach. If you forget to bring your cycle you can rent Dubai smart bicycle from Careem Bike station.
Lots of small restaurants and cafes are also here. In case you are not interested in any kind of activity just grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your evening watching beautiful sunset with a great view of Burj Al Arab, Dubai’s most iconic hotel!

You can consider this as one of the best beaches in Dubai located in Juneirah. It is an open publich beach, clean, many options to eat and do activities.
I gave this a very good rating instead of excellent because if you dont bring your own umbrella, you have to rent them and it costs 120 AED for a sunbed and an umbrella. Moreover, the toilets and changing rooms are usually filthy.

The beach is very nice and you can enjoy the waves, with some kites flying above. There are some water games that can be purchased from the life guards in order to have access to which are suitable for different ages. You can play volleyball as well. The location is easy to reach and there is many restaurants around it to grab a bite. It is a public beach so no entry fees are required. Paid parking is available just in front of the beach. All in all it is great to spend a day there whether you are with adults, teens or kids.

Been here few time during my visit in Dubai September last year. I encourage you to go really early in the morning because there is no humidity! Perfect for swimming. But getting a taxi is extremely hard! Also bring a hat and water if you decided to walk around because it gets hoooot.
