Took my family to the egg hunt at 8.30am which turned out to be a terrible experience with crying children. The park was meant to open at 8.30am with 100,000 eggs to collect for children so we arrived at 8.30am only to find all eggs already opened with mainly adults collecting hundreds of eggs so no thought or mechanic had gone into think how to manage the event or mechanic.
To make matters worse all food and drinks vendors were closed so it was impossible to buy water, coffee or breakfast as it became hot outside also seemed short sighted not to think money could be made by thousands of people attending. We went to leave at 9am as it became obvious all eggs had been opened we managed to collect zero eggs from the 100,000 so many kids were crying and upset so you could see the parents talking to staff and queuing outside the park office to ask what and why had it happened.
Seems the park need an event management team which can plan ahead and consider how to run an event of this scale and ensure a few people can’t simply take hundreds of eggs at one time.
We intended to stay at the park and pay to enter Lego land after the egg hunt but this didn’t happen as kids to upset and adults so disappointed

I have to say it was the worst theme park I have ever been to and I’ve been to a lot (Disneyworld, universal studios, hershey park, Canada’s wonderland, Thorpe park, six flags, Busch gardens to name but a few).
This park looked the part and was very clean but the rides were awful. They were similar to rides like the Minions in islands of adventure, Men in Black in Universal and an attempt at Cat in the Hat at Islands of adventure. There was also one that tried to be like Spider-Man at islands of adventure.
However, all these rides were unbelievably dull and to be honest shockingly bad for this day and age. I expected so much more. We did ride on two roller coaster types which, although very short, were good fun.
The park was extremely quiet but still had half hour wait at the Kung fu panda ride because they only had one ‘boat’ running.
It was a waste of time and not worth the 40 minute drive to get there. Won’t ever return.

This was my first and most probably my last visit to a theme park /parks ,I know they are struggling with visitor numbers but they need to look after the ones they do get .Ok everything in Dubai is expensive we know that but the choices of food drinks etc is appalling then take into account more than half of the outlets were closed. The busiest place was Lego land water park and was probably the best .Lego land it self is no better than average and after entering the dome where some stunning models are housed it tends to go down after that . Motion Gate seems to be the place with the most thought gone into it and definitely more to do when we entered The Smurf village I expected to see some characters engaging with the children but nothing all in all disappointing considering what is there it’s just not run with any in-depth thought.
Bollywood opens the latest and on our visit I would say there were no more than 20 people there at least a veto everything was easy .
Please note do not waste your money on the fast pass there’s no need in four parks we never waited once.
River land outside is more like a deserted ghost town if you check out YouTube you will notice every video shows it virtually deserted don’t think this is a trick it is exactly as it is it must be only a matter of time till it’s all closed down. Oh another thing don’t judge the Lapita resort on this review that’s so much better .

A complex with shops and restaurants designed like a European village. A place with a lot of potential. During the day the place is deserted in the evening there is traffic and people probably because of the heat. Many of the shops and restaurants are closed and inactive.

Visited the park for my son's 5th birthday. Had the most amazing time. The two park ticket is a great option. We did the legoland waterpark first and then motiongate afterwards. Fun rides for both adults and kids. Unforgettable memories

Well.... first of all personally I think this place is way over priced. Not many rides and Bollywood world a complete waste of time. Wouldn’t go back... if they offered a refund I’d gladly take it lol

A trip to River land with friends was enjoyable. Weather was good to walk around . More activities for children then adults. A verity of restaurants is available to choose from. We had a good hearty meal at The Irish Village .

As you are reading this be aware that I am a respected reviewer with Tripadvisor and have plenty of details to help you plan your visit to Dubai Parks.
Ok, so the big debate you are probably having is what is motiongate? Bollwood parks? Legolands?
Motiongate is basically like Dubai's answer to Universal Studios. A medium sized theme park with amazing zones/areas containing a range of rides and restaurants and other fun stuff! This was one of my highlights of the whole trip in the UAE! Plenty to see and do so I would spare at least 4 hours here, and this was with minimum queues during the hot season.
Bollywood Parks is a great place to take pictures and watch live shows BUT BE AWARE that the main shows are only available on certain days, so do check and confirm this before you head out; otherwise there isn't actually much to do here compared to Motiongate.
Finally, Legoland is more for kids. If you want to include this I would recommend buying a multi ticket where you can access more than one park, otherwise stick to Wild Wadi on a separate day.
I did Motiongate and Bollywood Parks in one day and that was pushing it, so any more then I would recommend over two days. Also, I would do motiongate during the day for rides and running around and the bollywood in the evening for shows.
Remember to hit thumbs up so other readers benefit from advice!

As of April 23, 2020 it's Ramadan. We are visiting the park a few days later. Are any of the operations reduced or cancelled in the parks during the Ramadan period? Anything else we need to be aware of?
Written 27 January 2020
You need to be aware of the fact that Ramadan is the month of fasting and eating, drinking or smoking in public during the day (sunrise to sunset) is illegal in the UAE during this period. The parks being an outdoor activity, not being able to drink water is going to be a big problem especially in late April heat. If you still want to go, better check with the parks if they have some private areas or restaurants where you can at least drink water or maybe visit after sunset (Iftar) - some of the parks are open till late. In general, I would recommend against any outdoor daytime activities during the month of Ramadan in UAE.

Hi, We are planning to visit the parks for 2 days on 16th and 17th Jan. (Thu-Fri). Lego Water Park is closed during that time and we will visit Legoland, Motiongate and Bollywood. We are staying in Lapita for 2 days and our standard check in time is 15:00 on 16th. Can we visit 3 parks in these 2 days. If Yes, what should be the order of visit.
Written 31 December 2019
It really depends on how crowded it is. We were there in August and while it was very hot, we were able to do every ride at Motiongate and Bollywood easily in one day because it was not crowded. We never waited in line for more than 5 minutes during that one day and we had taken an Uber to the parks that morning.
