- Sahar WDubai, United Arab Emirates1 contributionBest birthday venueWe hosted my sons 7th birthday at Green Planet and it was AMAZING. The kids had a so much fun! If your kid loves animals this is an amazing place to visit. The best was Joy and Hershey who were so good with kids, so knowledgeable about the animals kept everything moving so smoothly. (Thank you ladies!) Highly recommend.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 6 October 2023
- Dumbblonde2011Manchester, United Kingdom11 contributionsWorth doing but doesn’t last long.Great interactions with the animals and a fab concept. Would have given 5 stars but I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t a longer activity: we didn’t rush through at all but we’re still only in the biome about an hour. There is a new play area outside but despite being covered it was still too hot for the kids to play for long.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 October 2023
- zuvBucharest, Romania38,262 contributionsInteresting placeA building in which a tropical forest is recreated, populated with many exotic animals and birds. The animals are basically domestic, they are not afraid of visitors at all and many of them walk freely among them. However, you are not allowed to touch them in any way, not even to pet them. During the visit, you can even witness the feeding of some of the animals. You can spend 1-2 very pleasant hours here.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 30 October 2023

It was really beautiful, surreal and interactive being here with all birds and animals roaming freely inside without being caged. We loved it here. One of the highlights of our Dubai holidays. Must visit if you have young kids with you.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 November 2023
- Zainab MousaSaudi Arabia29 contributionsNot for Disabled PersonsWe had to leave the wheelchair behind as the place is not designed to hold disable people. Which you can figure out how our tour had to finish fast. The scenery is beautiful and very refreshing even to grownups. But tiny area to pass between crowds! Despite the above circumstances it is a great place for families.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 December 2023
- Peter CMaidstone, United Kingdom185 contributionsGreat Attractions for all ages !My daughter aged 23 wanted to visit so we went as 4 adults ! This is a unique experience which I would say is a great place to visit for people of all ages. We did the complete experience in around an hour which was more than enough time for adults. If you have children below the age of 11 then it will take much longer as there are several play areas that will draw them in - activities in the attraction. You arrive and go up in the lift to the top of the building and then gently walk around the building descending visiting various habitant for different animal species. It unusual to be able to get so up and close to the birds which was a major advantage of this experience. There are two cafe / snack bars on on which is situated in the children’s play area.Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 6 January 2024
- NiRonDKarachi, Pakistan735 contributionsNature in its diversityTruly a learning curve for children by observing and interacting with some of nature's wonders. The foliage, natural habitat, birds, animals and creatures were an eye opener for everyone including the grandparents!! Really a fantastic achievement in this part of the globe but not really surprising anymore seeing other theme related places in the same country. Nice short outing within the city limits.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 16 January 2024
- not-a-backpackers54 contributionsGreat Experience for whole FamilyWe enjoyed visiting the place very much. We could have spent the whole day here if we could. So much to see for a small place. We were just before the tropical rain and seeing the animal enjoying the rain was great. They have no care in the world, we felt like we were in the wild. Saw lemur “stealing” the tortoise food. He went around stole every other animals food. Too funny.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 February 2024
- Tim BLondon, United Kingdom69 contributionsGreat up close experienceGreat for kids and adults alike. The biosphere itself was an experience like no other. Better than any zoo. Getting close up with animals like you wouldn’t get anywhere near else, particularly the UK. It’s quite small and will only take around 45 mins if that, but well worth it for the experience. Only in Dubai would you get something like this.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 7 February 2024

I thought the overall design of the green planet was great, really immersive and some lovely species. However, in particular I would like to flag some areas I weren’t so keen on..
The wallaby exhibit - far too small for that number of animals and no natural light?!
The loris exhibit - a nocturnal species with lights on during the day and a feed scheduled in the day time?
The monkeys seemed to also have a really small amount of narrow space which had little furniture and hiding places.
All reptiles and amphibians had clear and invasive tanks with no option to hide away and some even open to which children could easily stick hands in.
The spider in the dome at the top of the stairs was constantly being wobbled as people tapped and pushed the exhibit.
A real shame as it has great potential and as I said, the theming was great but the welfare needs to be looked at. I really hope this things can be improved on.

We used to be a frequent visitors of this place, but not any more. Our last visit to Green Planet was terrible. Security personnel was creeping behind us all the way down and kept checking whether we wear masks properly. There were many people at this place who didn't wear masks at all but for some reason he stuck to us (we wore masks! but sometimes we put it lower than nose just to breath as it was quite hot inside).
Another thing - my 1 y.o. kids asked for a cookie and the same security was screaming that it's not allowed to eat (a cookie!). Those who have small kids will understand my frustration.
So, having paid around 700aed for the whole family we were not able to enjoy a single moment of this visit. In the "family-friendly" place we felt like in a prison with a guard next to us. So disturbing, will not come again to this place.

It is a lovely place to visit and i really appreciated the employees explaining about animals in each floor. However, i feel that this experience is not worth the entrance ticket money. Our family was there about an hour, or 1,5 hours, and paid almost 500 dirhams for entrance. We did the junior ranger tasks, which were interesting, but at the end we did not find all the answers from inside and had to google more. I think my son would have liked to seek answers from inside. Noone looked at his answers at the end, they just gave us the pin. It would have been nice if someone would have explained things after as well. We did enjoy the birds and animals and interacting with them.

This was our second time coming here with our now 16 month old son. He definitely enjoyed it a lot more at this age than previously. He couldn’t stop pointing out different animals and birds. After we had a coffee and he played in the soft play area. Great day out for him and we enjoyed a smoothie and a coffee at the cafe. Suraz was particularly lovely in the cafe - amazing service and very informative about the new brunch they are starting. The only downside was the Australian animals that are kept in an enclosure that isn’t big enough for them. Very sad to see as an Australian.

The staff is very courteous and they are strictly following the social distancing.

What a magical place! The building is incredible. The central tree, although clearly fake, is a great centrepiece, about which everything revolves. The staff seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, and were keen to teach our kids additional facts about the animals.
We were there as sunset approached, so the interior was bathed in a magical light, just as one of the timed 'rainstorms' was kicking in.
This is an absolute must for any families visiting dubai.

We had the most amazing afternoon at The Green Planet Dubai. We visited with 2 young children who had the best time and said it was one of their favourite activities in Dubai! After exploring the rainforest canopy down to the forest floor, we had a reptile encounter experience which we would definitely recommend. Our keeper, Matt, was fantastic. He made the encounter fun, informative and engaging. He was relaxed and patient with our children and really made our day special. Thanks Matt! We hope to return again soon.

It was a very unique experience and very enjoyable, however the night camping did not accommodate for all the people involved regarding the night red lights, and the tour, and the next day feeding. We a paying family of 5 received 2 lights only compared to other couples who received as much as us. Grapes for the Toucan and Lemur feeding the next day ran out quickly before we were able to take any. Guides weren't very deligent as to share equally and we had to always squeeze between people and jump to the front to get involved, otherwise the pathway barely fits 2 adults and logically speaking the guide won't be able to reach out to the full crowd. I would have liked to be immersed more in the experience. Either way, the staff were very friendly, especially Ezaz who was spot on with all his efforts.

Overall a great experience, I went with my friends as in from school as a field trip however the entire experience was excellent what a view of an artificial rainforest packed into a squared building. We never see these types of things in deserted countries like dubai. A life experience and not to mention there are a lot of animals and birds and insects. The place is all inclusive and has tons of experiences such as the bat caves. Funny thing (one of my classmates got pee’d on by a bat). The food and gift shops are nice however their a bit pricy but that’s probably due to the fact that they have to preserve and provide for these animals and it’s a really fun business. The inside of the artificial rainforest has a man jade tree which is quite tall and is built like a tree from the actual rainforest in South America. Fog and smoke machines to enhance the immersive environment which is all artificial.
Overall, I enjoyed this trip and so did all my mates. You should definitely visit!

We had been to The Green Planet before but this time was truly the greatest experience we had and one that everyone should get!
We decided to visit the Green Planet again after seeing the awesome stories and posts Mike Amore, who interns at the Green Planet, posted with the snakes and showcasing the life at the rainforest on his instagram. Mike, Also known as "THE SNAKE MAN" gave us the best tour of the rainforest! His storytelling and walkthrough of the rainforest was phenomenal. The kids got to feed the fish at the start of the tour which was super exciting for them. They got to understand better and feed their curious minds with the right information and got to meet with the awesome snakes.
Would definitely come back if the Snake Man will be giving us the tour!

Hi there…… want to do ‘sloth experience’ does this ticket also include full access into rainforest? Getting a bit confused on prices / tickets. What price should it be for rainforest and also sloth experience? Thanks

Is the VIP ticket worth it or am I better off just buying the standard ticket? Thanks
Written 26 August 2024
Standard ticket is sufficient. This is a tiny place and with small kids also one hr is more than sufficient. So no need for V.I.P

I've just come across the green planet and it looks super cool however I'm pressed for time and have to chose between this or the dubai mall aquarium. Not quite the same things but could anyone who has visited both offer their opinion? Green planet or aquarium?
P.s. I know aquarium is pricier and neither are great value for money imo but that's not a consideration in this case.
Thanks in advance
Written 26 September 2018
We’ve been to both and if we could only visit one we would go to the aquarium
Both are expensive but there is more to see in the aquarium
It also depends on how close you are
The frame in Dubai is amazing you may not get that experience outside of Dubai
Although no animals an absolutely amazing experience

Hello guys, I would like to know if the Animals there are mistreated or is it more like a zoo? Or like a reserve it is very important for me...
Written 28 December 2017
There are 2 sloths and I did not see any monkeys. The birds are free to roam. Except for a few insects and reptiles which are caged. The birds are taken good care of. It is not a zoo but more like a sanctuary. Temperature is well maintained and the whole environment is that of a rain forest. And the birds are well fed. The attendants take good care of the whole place and visitors are not allowed to touch or harm any of the animals
Written 28 December 2017
How much time will it take to explore the whole place?
Written 22 April 2017
give yourself at least a couple of hours, after all, you have spent some money to get in so why the rush?
