People travel great distances to visit this amazingly beautiful pagoda. Recent renovations make the visit even more pleasant and the many vendors will satisfy anyones need for a special Mandalay souvenir. Visit the museums in the pagoda while you are there.

Beautiful pagoda and 1,500 year’s old golden Buddha. Big grounds with a museum and a site explaining the history of the Buddha.

I highly recommend to come to this pagoda, the biggest golden Buddha in the world. Male is allowed to come inside to Buddha image room.
