I was walking up to 30 km a day, eager to study especially the frescos inside these monasteries. By bus from Novi Sad you can only reach the small town Irig, eventually go from there to Vrdnik and from there continue by foot. Eventually you...More

Very nice experience of visiting old Monasteries on mount Fruska Gora in Serbia. Monastery Krusedol is an amazing place.

If you are used to Orthodox churches or monasteries or even if you are not, you do not miss anything by skipping a trip to Fruska Gora Monasteries. There is not anything interesting to see. Quite boring. Recommended only for religious persons.

Ask and plan, no way you can visit all monasteries but go for 3. Most of them are beautiful places, with long history. Find a monk who likes to tell stories and enjoy.
