We stumbled on this park while visiting the 5 wells square. If you exit that square going west you are immediently in a lovely park perfect for a short stroll or plenty of benches for a relaxing break.
There are 2 parts to this park. the smaller bit attached to the square is called perivoj kraljice jelene.

Created during the Austrian-Hungarian empire, it is very nice place to rest under the trees and avoid the aggressive sun. You can also enjoy the specific set of flora. And it is not far from the swimming area of Zadar sea swimming pool.

Located just behind the Five Wells Square, this quiet park offers plenty of trees and shade. Wander to the far right to overlook a private harbor and the historic Land Gate.

This area contains ancient artifacts which should be protected but this area does not seem to be and it is damaged and there is graffiti all over the place (why???). This could be a lovely place to relax or stroll around but it has and is being spoilt.

A beautiful park with a calming ambience
Take a stroll through the day so you can take advantage of the abundant flora
It is equally safe for a stroll on a hot summer's night

Located just off Five Wells Square, it's worth a quick stroll through the park. At one end, there is a good photo opportunity looking down on the city Land Gate.

This is a really refreshing detail of the city! Beautiful, green, small park area with lots of shades to get away from the summer sun while sightseeing. We went there in the evening as it was a location for the music concert, and it was amazing! There should be more events it this park, it is a great summer open-air location!

This little park at the east entrance to the old town caught me by surprise. It is a nice little area to stroll in, somewhere to take a minute to relax and forget about the city outside it for a moment. Very popular with dog walkers, so mind where you step!

For the record this is not the elevated botanical garden park accessed from the Five Wells Square but the public park next door across the road. It is an easy mistake to make, but the Queen Jelena Madjevka Park does have its own Trip Advisor listing so if you are wanting to review that, look that one up and don’t add to the many mistakes below.
We actually came to this park by mistake in reality as we were trying to find the way into the botanical Gardens enclosed by the high wall on the opposite side of the road and didn’t realise there’s only one way in from the Five Wells Square. it is quite a nice green public area in its own right with footpaths winding through the trees giving good shade and respite from the afternoon sun and plenty of places to sit. Unlike the elevated botanical park opposite, there are quite a few routes in and out of this one.

This park was very dirty because there is a night club INSIDE the park so people piss and vomit all around the park. It was smelling urin and vomit when we took a walk.
