This splendid promenade is a relaxing way to walk along the shoreline and to get to the Sea Organ and The Greeting to the Sun. It is lined by trees on the side by the city. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery.

My family is from Zadar so very often I come to this place to take a walk and enjoy the Most amazing sunset.
Along this place there are some restaurants and coffee places, and of course the famous sea organon.
If you want to have a quiet peaceful time just come and seat in this place and contemplate the sea.

Nice view where you can also hear the nice notes of the sea organ that is built among the steps. Next to this place is also the site called Greeting to the Sun or Pozdrav Suncu, a must see in Zadar.

When in Zadar, you should absolutely make your way down to the Paseo Maritimo. As you walk down the the pathway, take note of how clear the water is. Eventually, you will come to both the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun. This is an incredible walkway to spend an hour on.

Take a walk around the old town. Pass the university, the Sea Organ, Monument to the sun etc. and enjoy the stunning view over the strait and the lands across.

Zadar doesn't have the dramatic contrast of Dubrovnik. But it has a relaxing appeal.
Start at the cruise pier, pass by the sea organ (it may sound like a harping seal, or like blowing over a bottle with water). Pass by apartments, the university and turn (left) around the walls.
The seaside walk is very wide. One side is lined with trees and flower gardens. Enjoy the views of the nearby islands.
The walk is best enjoyed with an ice cream cone.
P.s. rating would have been higher, but it was a dreary drizzling day

Beautiful walk along waterfront in Zadar - close to several nice restaurants and local market tents as well as the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun. Well worth the time to stroll down this promenade - especially during sunrise/sunset.

Beautiful views of the nearby islands, locals walking their dogs, and tourists taking photos. Perfect. In this are people are playing in the water on the steps next to the Sea Organ and close to the cruise ship port. There are two cafes close to the sea organ if you want a drink or something to eat. We would go running along this walkway all the way to the gardens on the other end of the old town by the small marina next to the elevated city gardens.

A stroll along Zadar's old city promenade became a pre-dinner evening for my wife and I during our visit to Zadar. Starting at the ferry harbour side, we wandered along the Marina to the end of the peninsular, taking time to appreciate the architecture, statues, artwork and the small yachts bobbing in the water. Finding a table on the grass, we'd drink a couple of coffees near the Greeting to the Sun and Sea Organ, shiver gently as the Sun set in the distance then continued our walked along the more exposed, wider section of the promendade until reaching the University. Taking a right turn down some of the tight alleyways we'd then have a beer, people watching while taking our time, deciding where to eat.

The Paseo Maritimo is perfect for a stroll. There is a great playground for the children and several resturants where you can get an ice cream or something to drink.
