This is a pretty church with the wall of the front of the church covered in large gold plating with paintings interspersed and a cross on top. The church also has a beautiful painting of the annunciation. It is worth a stop inside to take some pictures.

An Icon museum which we came upon while walking down the alley parallel to Stradun towards the Pile Gate. Worth a look, very peaceful

We walked down from the Catholic Church of St. Ignatius to this Orthodox church, which is closer to the Stradun/center of the old Town. The exterior is very pretty, with stained glass windows that I quite liked. The interior is fairly small, but we stepped inside for a few minutes to admire the golden altar area and a large mural that I believe represents the Last Supper. We didn't stay long, but I enjoyed visiting the various churches inside the Old Town to see all of their unique beauty.

Built in 1877 and located on the south side of the Stradun, is this beautiful little orthodox church. Very ornate and still receives practicing worshippers.

Monday 13th June we visited what we thought was an old Church in the Old Town of Dubrovnik. The original Church was built in 1877, however it was severely damaged by bombs during the Siege of Dubrovnik.
The Siege lasted from the 1st October 1991Â till 31st May 1992 (7Â months, 4Â weeks and 2Â days).
In 2009 this Serbian Orthodox Church was so seamlessly and sympathetiy restored to it's current beautiful condition.
On entering the Church our eyes were immediately drawn to a beautiful golden reredos, altar screen. There are four large paintings, one of the Virgin Mary and the other three of Saints. There are smaller paintings towards the top of the screen. On the wall at the top is a very large painting of the Last Supper.
Sunshine streams through the colourful glass windows and illuminates the Church.
Large chandeliers hang from the beautiful, coloured painted panel ceiling.
The are numerous other paintings, various shapes and sizes that adorn the walls.
In a wall recess there is a golden tomb, not sure who is interred here.
We sat for a few moments in dark wooden chairs to admire this beautiful Church but to absorb it's tranquility and spend time with personal thoughts.
It was also an opportunity to marvel at the skills and talents of those builders and craftsmen who restored the Church so beautifully.

We sat in here for a few minutes and had some peace and quiet. The exterior looks new and the interior is lovely. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The cats of Dubrovnik seem to like it as half a dozen or so of them were hanging out in the yard.

A new church, located on a street parallel to Stradun. Beautiful, but not out of the ordinary. Not being old, it is not of tourist interest, from my point of view.

Nice to visited, you can always find a spot to relax and find yourself.
The church is very beautiful and nice to be visited with firends or alone. We stayed there for more than twenty minutes so we could all rest. A peaceful moment.

This is an absolutely lovely church, with an elaborate iconostasis in gold, and fine icons everywhere. When we got there on a Sunday morning, liturgy was already in progress, with a small choir singing the responses. People were still allowed to come into the church just to see the artwork during the service. We stayed until the end of the service, then spent about an hour admiring the many glories of this church.
There is also a nice shop selling religious items next door.
