We arrived at the modern port and took a tour that approached the old city via boat (old style galleon) and returned by bus. Coming in from the sea lets you appreciate the old town walls from a different perspective - helps you appreciate how...More

Although it rained almost all the time when my wife and I visited in September, the old town is an extremely picturesque and historically fascinating place especially if you have a tour guide as we did. We booked though GLOBTOURS and were not disappointed with...More

A must see in Montenegro. Above are a church area but you must climb. Cats everywhere. One of the two Cat Museums in the world. Walk around nice restaurants.

The views here are amazing, we enjoyed it more due to visiting not in the busy period. Apart from the rain it is just fantastic, this place has not changed in over 100 years.

They have done an excellent job restoring any damage done from conflict days. It was magical at night walking through old town. The stones are so worn from many feet that with evening lighting it just glows.

Would recommend walking the walls but start early to avoid the crowds. They open from 8am. Wander round the old town and take a boat trip to Lokrum. Get the first boat out at around 9am and you will virtually have the island... More
