My wife and I visited the city walls but only walked along for a very short way because with the throngs of people there you could hardly put your hands in your own pockets. There is a one way system and whilst you get marginally...More

It is a bit expensive but you shouldn't pass it up. During tourist season June-August, it can get very busy and hard to move, so I recommend you get there just as it opens. The views inside the town are just as interesting as the...More

I thought the cost was a bit much for a simple walk but it is well worth it. I measured the walk around the walls to be just over a mile. Done at a nice plod and taking time for photographs etc, means you need...More

It may be a better view of the town and less crowded, especially if you start your visit at noon. Old city is full of visitors which makes it difficult to visit if you do not start early in the morning or late in the...More

To walk on the ancient city walls is a must while in Dubrovnik. It offers superb views over the Old Town of Dubrovnik and the sea, providing excellent photo opportunities, and you can really sense how these walls protected the inhabitants for many centuries.

The walls is something you should walk early morning and then again at sunset. Sunset was especially incredible because there wasn't a lot of people up there (actually we were the last 4 off the wall). It's all amazing and take your time on the...More

The definitive 'must' on any visit to Dubrovnik, the medieval city walls are best explored with a full-circuit, two-kilometre walk along the battlements. Affording ever-changing views out to sea. Dating back to the 10th century, the remarkably preserved walls—among the finest in the world—mark out...More

It is free to get into the old town. To climb the walls it’s approximately $25 per person.
