This opinion is not exactly about a tour or service provided by Perfect Travel Croatia, although I am sure that they provide the best tours and day trips in Dubrovnik and surrounding cities.
Its purpose is to thank Mr. Bozo Crvik for the assistance that he selflessly granted me a couple of weeks ago when I was at Dubrovnik. Honestly, without his help, my memorable trip to gorgeous Craotia would have turned into a nightmare.
It turns out that, after having spent a couple of days at Dubrovnik (charming place, just like Split), I went to the airport in a taxi whose driver I had met when I arrived to the bus station and with whom I had arranged the airport ride.
When we arrived to the airport, I got distracted looking after my luggage and paying the driver's fee and left my cell phone in the taxi. But I did not realize that until at least ten minutes after the taxi had left.
At that point, besides feeling profoundly stupid, I felt severe anxiety because I knew that I was going to miss the plane, I hade my boarding pass on my phone and had no way to access my email. I was not going to be able to get in contact with my parents and sister who were expecting to meet me that evening in Vienna. Honestly, my vacation in Europe was going to become chaotic in many ways if I did not get my phone back.
I had added the phone number of the taxi drive and had taken a photo of his plate number, but the number and photo were on my phone.
I had nothing to do but to pray, which I did. Right away, I looked for help and, miraculously, the person I turned to was Mr. Crvik. He was parked in the same place where the taxi had left me. I explained what had just happened. He made the obvious questions, if I knew the driver's name, the plate number, and so on. But, as I explained above, that information was in my phone. However, I was able to provide some details, for example that the driver wore glasses, the car brand and model, and so on. With that information, Mr. Crvik thought of someone who met the description. However, he did not know him, nor had his number. But, he managed to call someone who might knew him. It turned our that this person indeed knew my driver, called him, explained the situation, and arranged for him to get to the airport to deliver the phone.
Explaining the situation to Mr. Crvik, calling his colleague, him calling my driver and arranging the phone delivery might have taken 15-20 minutes (in my head it obviously took an eternity because so much was at risk for me). Time was of the essence because, although Croatians are very well-intentioned and there was no doubt that if the driver was contacted, he was going to deliver the phone, there was the risk of him not noticing the phone and pick up some tourist who might have not had the best intentions.
At the end, thankfully, I was able to recover my phone, get in the plane and meet my parents and sister that evening. This was possible only because of Mr. Crvik's willingness to help me. He made a huge difference in my trip.
I offered him to pay for his time and service but he rejected any money. He said we should all help someone in need when it is in our possibilities.
I am very thankful to him.
If you ever want to arrange a tour or trip in or around Dubrovnik, book it with Perfect Travel Croatia, Mr. Crvik's company. I am certain that they would do everything at their reach to provide the best service.
