The location is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The garden is very special and you can easily walk around to see all the art and variety of cultural aspects that are well remained. Besides the museum there is also a hotel and I can imagine...More

This hotel was a must visit 15 years ago. Stay away if possible! Service is terrible, prices are high a true tourist trap.

This is a beautiful museum and historical ruins renovated into a hotel. The church, tombs, and back rooms are really interesting. There's plenty of labels written in english with explanations. The chocolate shop is really good and all the way in the back. Anyone can...More

This was a stop on our private tour. We probably wouldn’t have gone here otherwise. But it was interesting to learn the history and see the remnants.

You can visit without paying any entrance fee. This place is now a hotel but it was a monster back in the days. There are some museums inside that charge ~Q45. This place is amazing! You have to visit, at least to walk around and...More

We had a simple but very confortable and ample room. Then, we swam in the swimming pool and relaxed in the jacuzzi, before a late dinner. The squash cream was superb. Next day, after a morning walking tour through the city (hired at the hotel),...More

The museums in the complex of this hotel are remarkable. We went into the complex as part of a city tour that included access to all but the silver museum. What we did see was an archaeology display, an excellent display comparing ancient and modern...More

Plan on spending some time here. Carefully laid out you wander through a ruin of the cathedral and several rooms of archeological artifacts. A beautiful fountain and garden as well as a macaw in the middle of the garden.

It is a very nice hotel with beautiful courtyards with lush tropical landscaping and historic ruins. Upscale restaurant and spa on premise. We had a fireplace in our room, which was a nice touch.

First time here for dinner with 9 friends. Food was excellent, service was outstanding, charming atmosphere with much to take in before or after dining. Will return.

You do not need air conditioning. It's not that hot in Antigua during the summer. We stayed at Porta Hotel Antigua and just ate at Santo Domingo so I don't know.

They have fans on ceiling. The trees and plants provides a nice fresh air around the site.

Yes. But town is very unagreeable to drive around (narrow streets and difficult to park day time).
