The place has greatly improved along the yeas. not to be missed if you go to Antigua. Great food, nice ruins, a beautiful church with very ancient pieces of art.

Destroyed in the 1773 earthquake, this property has been restored to a glory that is unique. Take the Q40 tour and enjoy the mouse, the pharmacy and all the hidden gems of this property. Don't miss the skeletons that were unearthed during the restoration.

These museums (yes-more than one at this location) is in what was the church/convent. We visited each of the area's museums and enjoyed them all. After, have a snack and drink in the hotel open air restaurant. Gorgeous vegetation/flowers

We enjoyed browsing the hotel grounds and museums. The art museum portion was our favorite, and during our visit they had an exhibit with some amazing pre-Columbian art. The Casa Santo Domingo overall is a higher-end place that seems designed for the luxury visitor. It's...More

Worth the visit to the museum to see all the displays. Outside displays and indoor displays as well. We were on a guided tour booked through the cruise line.

We were there with a guide from our Spanish school, but we all thought it was kind of boring.. We thought it would be more of a historic museum where you would actually get to learn about Guatemalan history, but in reality there is just...More

You would never know it just passing by the unassuming entrance gate to this "Casa". From the moment you step in, people are milling around, endless corridors, underground labyrinths, and then you somehow get outside and there are excavations everywhere, an outdoor church with white...More

You do not need air conditioning. It's not that hot in Antigua during the summer. We stayed at Porta Hotel Antigua and just ate at Santo Domingo so I don't know.
