A nice park centrally located in downtown Antigua. I enjoyed sitting on a bench next to the fountain drinking coffee and people watching. Lots of food options next to the park as well as a market for souvenirs too.
Central Park with its cobble stone street is a great place to just relax and people watch. There are trees for shade, a central fountain & benches, plus nearby vendors and restaurants. There is a gorgeous fountain as well as a beautiful church. It is...More

It's nice when you visit a place to find a spot to sit and watch the world go by, see the locals go about their daily business, tourists exploring, life happening. The Plaza Mayor is perfect for all the above!

This is what makes Antigua, Antigua. The park is the center of the city, always bustling with activity. You will be solicited by street vendors to buy trinkets, toys etc. But that is part of the experience. Beautiful surroundings, great restaurants and shops nearby

It seems to be a gathering spot for tourists and locals. There are numerous vendors here trying to sell you their items. But it is a nice place to sit and people watch after walking on all of the cobblestones!
