The City Museum is the old railway station and the clock stopped when a 6+ Richter scale earthquake hit the city on July 26, 1963. The Museum has many exhibits and photos on the earthquake, damage and recovery.

The sight is simply marvelous, because the whole museum is a part of the old railway station which was partly destroyed during the 1963 earthquake. The museum is about the timeline of Skopje history. The museum does not work on Mondays.

This building was the railway station at the time of the 1963 earthquake. The history of the earthquake and its aftermath form the main permanent exhibition - mandatory for any visitor to Skoje. There were also two interesting temporary exhibitions. Free entry.
