St Helena has a lot more history than you would expect. Many parts of the 500+ years history can be found in the (free) museum. Excellent start of the exploration of the island

Hats off to the enthusiasts who have compiled this little gem which sets a high standard for local museums by being both extensive and educational without being overly academic or patronising. A fascinating glimpse in to the history of the island
