I used the Metro several times during my stay in Panama City. It's clean, cheap, fast and efficient. Too bad it's not more extensive, but Line 2 will open in the coming year.

It beats traffic jams at peak hours, rain, etc. Easy to navigate. The cost is reasonable and the trains are available quite often. No need to wait long.

You have to buy a $2 card before loading up $ for the .35 cent fares. Easy to use the metro in the city - I can't wait until someday they connect to the airport.

Good to see this highly functional metro system in Panamá. Use it as much as you can to isolate yourself From the price gauging taxis.
