Small museum, would have spent more time if it had a little more. Very interesting to see the process when a ship passes through the canal. Extremely impressive and blown away by the precision required for passage.
“A man, a plan, a canal, Panama”- it reads the same forward as it does backwards and as incredible as that is, the canal itself is better. 😊 This system is a modern marvel after hundreds of years of ideas, construction, and reconstruction. It’s a...More
This was very enjoyable, a cruise ship was in the lock and another cargo ship also entered. The exhibition was good, informative but not too bulky. The exhibition is spread over several floors with escalator to take you to each floor

I find your question a little confusing ??do you want to go to the visitors center and see the Mira Flores locks and also experience the ride thru the locks and canal. I was only there once but we used the hop on /off bus($34 for one day/$37 for two days) to see most of panama city. You can check their routing and see if it suits you)The Maria Flores has a small museum($) and a grandstand to view ships going thru the Locks. I (and my wife)found the old city very interesting using the self walking guide. Taxi's are very reasonable and everyone uses American $$.
