The plaza is wrapped by a promenade that has lots of vendors selling Panamanian arts and crafts. Ironically, the prices here are cheaper than in other parts of the country. Go for the view and the crafts.

the plaza is very nice in the late afternoon for a walk. many things going on. less interesting later on in the evening.

We enjoyed the peaceful walk through a snapshot of French historical contributions to Panama thats complete with bust of the most important leaders of that era.

Came here when I go the end of casco viejo near the water. Stairs go up and you can see the city and Amador. Nice spot to take some pics and combine with Casco Viejo trip.

Plaza de Francia is located in Costo Viejo and is part of the French history when they where attempting to build the Panama Canal.

You can park , at no cost, before you enter tho all town if head towards the causeway. Its then an easy walk into the Old Town. Lots of historic Spanish style homes and shops. At the far end is this Plaza. Clime the steps...More

Hi, Sara, the best thing is that the view is permanent and free! 😊 there are artisans during the day, there the Bóvedas which are open during office hours.
