We discovered this little shop after our cab sped past it to take us to lunch. Walking back after lunch we found it. This is a well merchandised little gallery carrying local crafts. The owner is from Spain and speaks excellent English. We purchased a...More

My wife and I spent some time walking around this somewhat upscale souvenir shop in Casco Antiguo, and while we didn't buy anything here (for more unusual native Panamanian crafts go to the shop called "Papiro y Yo" nearby), clearly the items on sale were...More

We stumbled upon Karavan while exploring in Panama City. The selection of items is carefully curated, and although the prices slightly reflect this, they are better quality than some street stall curios. The staff was informative and helpful.

This is a great place to find gifts for friends and family, what I love the most is the accesible prices on articles that are absolutely beautiful! For home decoration is the best, the work on pillow cases are just amazing, I have bought some...More

Touted as a great gallery with local crafts, this shop has interesting pieces but very little stock. There are better shops in Casco Viejo with more interesting items (eg-La Reprosa)

Some of the best original Kuna Yala embroidery and other handicrafts you can find in Panama City. They also have some African art and craftds with unique designs. We read about this place in several gjuide books before we left. The store did not disappoint.

Excellent selection of Panama's quintessential crafts. Good quality. While I was there, they were negotiating with two Indian women over their molas and the conversation seemed respectful and congenial. I always worry about exploitation of local craftspeople and Karavan has a good reputation.

After reading good reviews, we made a special effort to go to this shop. The sales person barely said hello. They had a few pillows and a few paintings. One watercolor painting even had mold under the glass. In my opinion, I wouldn't even call...More

We purchased a beautiful painting that reminds us each day of the Casco and Karavan gallery. The boutique had paintings by local artists, and cushion covers and trinkets made by the Kona Indian women dressed up in their beautiful, colorful costumes and intricately beaded hand...More

Not your typical shop catered to tourists, but handmade, authentic, beautiful crafts. Be sure to have the address handy because taxi drivers have no idea what you are talking about if you just give the name of this shop
