The hike up to the crater's rim rim was relatively easy, though there were a number of steps involved. The view was breathtaking. Our guide told us the volcano has been dormant for just over 100 years, with the last eruption occurring in 1917. Recommend...More

It was super cloudy the day I went so I didn't get any city views, but the views at the top let you look down into the old mouth of the volcano. It's all green now and is a nice quiet hike with some shopping...More

It was a relatively easy and brief climb from the parking lot and interpretation centre to the top. Due to light rain and cloud we couldn't see the crater, but the vegetation is lush and beautiful, the air is clean, and it was worth the...More

This place is close to the city, 15 minutes by car. The street has beautigul views, trees, flowers cool weather and good restaurants, and cafes. You might visit the crater and the gardens around.

Loved the eating plazas. Lots of varieties and the best pupas I've ever had. It gets quite chilly at nighttime so be sure to take a warm jacket.

Nice place, great views during the road, easy access, you don't have to walk that much.. it's done for all kind of tourists, it is also a cheap access(I guess $3.00 per person). The road to the volcano is full of nice restaurants.

Take a taxi or drive. It's a nice trip up into the mountains where it's cooler and more lush than the city.

This is a long dormant volcano you mostly drive to; the walk to the top is easy up stairs and not difficult. But well worth visiting for the view. And for the fresh fruit grown in the volcano.

We did take a car tour in San Salvador, the Volcano was seen from the distance, but was amazing that a big sitty is growing so big just below volcano feet
