I visited this place 3 days ago and still keep thinking about it. So nice and calming. We didn’t expect all the stairs, we thought it was going to be a simple hike like most of the local volcanos but it still wasn’t bad at...More

You can park pretty high up the Santa Ana volcano and then take an easy hike up to the top to see the crater (unless it is raining, which oddly happened to us even though it was dry season). Apparently you can hike down the...More

The volcano is a sight to see. Incredible views and history. Locals are very nice and offer some of the freshest fruit I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend booking a tour with Papagayo Adventures and they will provide you an awesome experience.

Nice shady walk up to the top. You can't go down into the volcano but you do get a good view of the crater. The walk is well maintained but it is a good way up if you have physical challenges.

Site is fairly close to San Salvador. Wear tennis shoes or hiking shoes depending on amount of hiking you wish to do. From the parking lot you will walk along some maintained paths that are mostly dirt with wood decks in some places and there...More

Upon arrival at the airport we headed straight to Plaza Volcan for pupusas and coffee followed by a stop to El Boqueron for a short walk and view points. Highly recommended if its on the way or en route to another location .

It's a nice place to go for a walk and experience some of the Salvadoran places. It is a less than half-an-hour walk. You can see the crater and smell the nature. There is a nice cool temperature. It is just nice and quiet. If...More

Great place to visit. Amazing views, short but steep walk up and down. Cool relief from the city. We went with EC tours , highly recommended.

Sorry for the late response. I was a foreigner traveling with a national, and we each paid $1.

I am not really sure you can get there by public transportation. A taxi might charge you at least USD 20.00 each way
