This beautiful church from the distance looks like it is floating on air. The georgeous cupola and crosses and color of the building were breathtaking

The church looks really nice from outside. You can enjoy its architecture from distance while going up the hill. It has a terrace with a view on the surrounding. Church is undergoing some renovation, so it was closed for visitors.

Crowning the top of Andriyivsky Descent is this magnificent five-domed church that was designed by Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who also designed the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. St. Andrew's in Kiev was his last masterpiece. One of the city's best known landmarks, the teal, gold and...More

Although we didn’t go inside we walked past this church on Sunday morning on the way down the Andrivskiya descent from St Michaels. You can peruse the souvenir stalls as you go. An outdoor service was taking place and it was amazing to listen to....More

Without a doubt, St. Andrew's Church is my favorite church in Kiev. It sits up on a hill which, therefore, makes it look very regal. The colorful domes accented in gold, though, are what give it such a unique look.
