The Filaret Hill is located near the Carol I park in Bucharest. At the beginning of the last century they started here to build a lot of villas. The streets that are up here are Aleea Suter and the only stairs street of the city: Strada Xenophon.

The highest natural point of Bucharest.Nothing special, some views of the town from the top but mostly obturated by buildings,so I can't consider it a belvedere point. The top can be reached via Xenofon street, the only stepped street in Bucharest, and also the only painted street.

When we got there the painted steps were grubby, faded and crumbling. Admittedly, the dreary weather and late afternoon fading light didn't help. Still a bit of a disappointment though.

This is a nice neighborhood in Bucharest with the famous stair street Xenofon, nicely painted by the local artist Eva Radu. The street is currently being renovated and you will have the chance of finding in the middle of the Bucharest a nice waterfall!

The Filaret Hill is close to the Carol Park and the most famous sights to see are the Carol Park Hotel and the Xenofon Street (the only stair-street in Bucharest).
