The Plaza Romania is a shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania. The construction, based on an uncompleted hunger circus abandoned after the fall of Nicolae Ceausescu, has 3 distinguishable parts — a central structure with a dome 40 metres in diameter, and two new and complex wing structures. The centre has two functional sections - a mall and a hypermarket, which can be operated independently according to operation conditions. The site also includes an open-air carpark and an indoor carpark.

If you need a new passport, here is a good place to get the job done, not so crowded and pretty speedy. You can also do some window-shopping and maybe catch a bite as the passport office is near the food-court, on the 2nd floor.

This is one of my favourites malls because there are a few people that come here. Fewer shops than the rest of the malls but at the end of the sales a lot of cheap stuff can be found here.

Not so fun for kids, however, good place to shop and after that to enjoy an iced coffee at Starbucks.

One of the oldest mall in Bucharest. It's not awful, but it's a mall and nothing special. Has kids place, movie place, food place and shopping shops :)

At some point I thought that Plaza was losing points, as a bigger mall, Afi Palace, close-by, seemed more interesting to many customers. But, anyway, I go rarely to malls, and I haven't been in any of them in a long time. However, in the...More

It's not the best way to spend time in, but for a rainy day it's OK. Crowded on weekends, full of people that are just walking around, average fast food restaurant and a limited cinema. It's not a must on a visiting list but if...More
