This museum is rich in artifacts and worth a visit. Limited English is the only downside. Otherwise, tons of things to see from ancient times to post WW2 and Communism.

Very nice collection representing Romania’s history from the Stone Age through the recent past. Lots of models of forts and castles, lots of weapons and reconstructions of armor and uniforms. Very little signage in English, so some advance understanding of local history will serve you...More

I think there's a lot of stuff to see, ranging from weapons, outfits, cannons and tanks. I think it's well managed, well kept and quite diverse.

Wow, I was blown away by this fabulous museum. wonderful displays including 3 of only 11 known Roman Golden Helmets. Several life size dioramas, probably the world's largest collection of military medals and decorations.

The National Military Museum is a great place to spend a couple hours, if military history interests you. The displays are well done, although many are lacking descriptions in English, and I'm sure a guided tour could probably offer some context. My teenage sons love...More
