I visited roughly a year after the attack here. I could still see the bullet holes in the walls of the restaurant. It was still epic. If you get the chance, rent a boat and go into the ocean (not too far) as it was...More

In September? I and 3 friends had lunch the restaurant. The food was fresh with very generous servings. Good service, serene environment. I recommend visitors to lunch there when it is most safe time.

Locals just relaxing having a good time. Known to be busy on the weekends especially Fridays which looks and feel very different than being there on a weekday. Having lunch at the Liido beach restaurant and ordering fresh seafood is a must.

There aren't a lot if good things to say about Mogadishu. The airport is a shakedown, the roads are atrocious but this beach is nice. The water is very choppy and you must watch out for sharks.
