Nice collection, no needs for guide if you have plenty of time to spend in the museum. We spent two hours, and used the guide, who was knowledgeable and helpful.

The Museum shows the Pre Inca and Inca ceramics, artifacts, and many more items found along the coast where the ancient Peruvians once lived. Some of the items descriptions are not easy to read due to the small printed letters size.
